Here is a graphic to help depict the variation in ball diameters between commonly found household balls used to play lacrosse around the home. Many of these balls get stuck in the throat of typical fiddle and mini sticks, and even crazier, some full-size regulation lacrosse sticks I’ve owned have had tennis balls and wiffle balls stuck in the throat. What?! Yes. The culprit, a combination of mesh and sidewall strings narrowing the margin available.
Fear no more; done are the days of aggressive cradling in order to keep tennis and wiffle balls from lodging into the throat of your stick.
The People’s Skill Stick is designed to accommodate balls up to 3” in diameter. Impressed? We hope so.
- Lacrosse Ball: 2.50” diameter
- Tennis Ball: 2.65” diameter
- Foam Ball: 2.75” diameter
- Wiffle (pickle) Ball: 2.90” diameter
